As you know, this year Florimont launched its cultural season entitled “Encré” dans la culture (‘written’ into culture), a multidisciplinary project on a local and human scale, which places at its heart the student and culture.
On Wednesday 12 October, we had the honour of welcoming the Entresilences ensemble, a choir accompanied by the organist Arthur Saunier, all alumni of the Haute école de musique de Genève, a well-known partner of Institut Florimont, for a concert of lyrical music in the chapel.
As part of this concert, 40 students from the 6ème (6th graders) accompanied the Entresilences choir on the piece, Ave Verum Corpus by Edward Elgar, a great accomplishment following weeks of rehearsals and class work with music teachers and choirmaster & musical director, Iris Thion-Poncet.
Below you will find interviews conducted by our students, budding journalists, Iris, Jérôme, countertenor of Entresilences, as well as our two music teachers, Mrs. Stewart and Mr. Darbellay:
If you were not able to attend the Entresilences concert, you will also find two video clips below: a clip of the performance of the song, Ave Verum Corpus by Edward Elgar, where our students from 6ème (6th graders) sing with the Entresilences choir, as well as a video produced and edited by Madame Decugis, French teacher at Florimont , with the help of the students involved in this project.
